Sales team caused unnecessary stess

I was recently chatting with the talent acquisition partner of a premier bank. It was a mini analysis that his wife had gifted him. It was going well. It showed that he took unnecessary stress which was causing him sleep problems. Stress is anyways mostly unnecessary and was more so in his case, I told him so. He snapped back saying that "It isn't unnecessary, we are facing high attrition at sales" It was too quick for me to respond. "Good people are going, and the ones that should leave are still here" I looked at his handwriting again, he sure did have a pessimistic and narrow approach to life. "Anyone else leaving doesn't cause nightmares as the sales or business development fellow because if he is good, then he will take the good HNI clients with him. We have increased our engagement activities and its too soon to tell but the boss is losing patience. How can I not get stressed?"

I asked him if he would want to drink water. After a quick gulp, he asked me again "The sales guys are just so temperamental and united... Head jaayega toh team bhi le jaayega." I told him that I understood and I have a solution if only he allowed me to talk. "It is unnecessary stress and can be taken care of. Graphology can help hire candidates who are good at sales and can also tell you if they will stay in your company or not."

He cut me mid statement saying - crystal ball may, but how will graphology?

Handwriting or signature analysis of the candidate can judge the candidates

  • temperamental nature or impulsiveness
  • ambition and greed
  • ability to sell and communicate.
Graphology is the simplest and safest way of accurately judging him/her without the candidate even being aware of it.

If you find a guy who is low on the first, moderate on second and high on the third trait, hire him and try to keep him happy instead of someone who is so impulsive and carefree that might change jobs even for a measly hike.

Every hiring mistake can cost the company thousands while contributing to poor moral and negative feelings among employees. (There are so many other benefits that graphology can give you while hiring, but i believe that this blog is not the right place, please feel free to mail me at sunayna.navani@gmail.com to know more.)

He didn't say anything.

Its worth giving a shot I said.

Boss will not agree to such things. I replied, "More than 90% European companies hire through graphology. Few companies in India are getting wise enough to use it and benefit from it. He smiled - I continued, There is a way out but most people wait for others to try, What they unfortunately don't realize is that they are losing money, goodwill, peace in organization.

His stress is unnecessary, he didn't agree to the solution. Wonder what is it that stops people from giving it a try.

Strange how life is...

It is really strange how life is...what you have learnt at what stage in life gets used somewhere completely else... I was talking to my friend about her dreams and she told me that she saw a few mountains and sun rise. It was a beautiful dream and some sign of hope she needed. Her dad is unwell and chances of survival are very less. So this dream was a beautiful sign for her. She was so happy that she called me early morning to tell me about it.

What is strange is that she asked me what else could it mean? At the same time, the interpretation of drawing analysis was running in my mind. I told her that mountains signify problems and the sun signifies father. so since she saw the sun rise, it is an extremely positive sign that her father is rising up from the problems. She was happy to know and I was delighted to answer. The best thing I love about my work is that I delight people more than less :)

Feedback as P.I.G.S

Graphology can help you understand a lot of things like - Stress level, health issues, personal nature, ability to work hard, ego and other abilities that can ensure that I talk for about 2 hours at least but it cannot predict the ability to give feedback sadly. I have a amusing story ahead, I was asked a question recently that I just didn't have an answer to.

I recently met a lady who knew herself really well. She is in the senior management of a company and had come to me for a mini analysis. She seemed happy with the analysis and I think I helped her with the solutions she was looking for. She was slightly unhappy with her boss because of his talkative nature and since she was to change her job soon she decided not to waste any time on it. While getting up, she asked me, "Can u tell me which traits can tell me if a person will give feedback like PIGS" I kept staring at her, hoping she would tell me what it meant, some new term...

Thankfully, she did. She said - Positive Immediate Graphic and Specific. I realized about 8-10 seconds that that is what PIGS stood for. I asked her if this was for the future boss and she sat down and gave me a big YES. I told her that there is no such trait, but a mix of traits and it would be difficult to judge accurately even for me. She sighed and said she would anyway get her future boss's sign for me if possible. To which I had to smile and agree.

It is amazing, I learn something new everyday. :)

The Perfect match of marketing.

I was in a company collecting handwriting samples for my project. I have fortunately or unfortunately developed this habit of looking at whatever handwriting comes in front of me and analyzing it. The brain just starts working and it seems that I have no control over myself sometimes. I didn't control myself at this particular office too and before I knew it, there was this really enthused group who wanted to know at least 2-3 points about them. :)

Amongst them was a really bright looking lady. The one thing that struck me about her were her marketing skills. She seemed to be really really good at marketing. I told her so and she just gleamed from ear to ear. This should have been my clue but I guess I missed it. She asked me what "marketing" really meant. I told her that marketing as per graphology means
  • Ability to express ideas in a powerful manner
  • Sell ideas or products really well
  • Communicate with unknown people well
I added, also, a practical example could be that when you argue or when you are done presenting your idea or point of view, people rarely deny it.
She nodded her head on this and continued to smile.

We were sitting next to the HR area, and the lady got up and congratulated the HR on hiring her. She was actually responsible for handling marketing for the company. I was so pleased because the energy in that area was amazing. The lady was simply glowing. Imagine what she must have felt. Like all of us, who work, we always have doubts about what area of work to get into... Is sales really for me? Would I do good in csr? Why don't I get promotion in this field if I like it... All such questions must have been answered. If she was ever worried, all that must have gone.

I contacted her later and asked her if she would like to tell me how she felt so I could put it in my blog, but that didn't work out. Anyway, Imagine how the HR must have felt? There are so many times when we are confused between candidates and pick the one who is negotiating the best or is looking good on the ref check. The ref check story I will share later but the HR must have felt so good about herself and her skills to judge people.

It was a very pleasant experience to be there at the moment.

The listening problem

A skilled graphologist can understand if an individual is open to new ideas or is someone who is adamant and likes to do things on his own.
Sometimes, even a skilled graphologist can go wrong. :)

I recently met a very self made man, someone who had defied all the customs possible and made life on his own. His handwriting pointed out that he was not a very good listener and didn't really accept advice as graciously as one should.

I told him that, and he said I was wrong. This was my 2nd or 3rd point but he said that he listens to everyone. There was no way I was wrong. I tried to give him examples so I could explain my point. He refused. I couldn't really argue with such a senior business man...but this was so wrong. He just didn't budge, he was proving my point and I tried to point it out, but he still didn't agree. He told me to move on.

I carried on with my points and soon he started developing his trust. We came to the main reason for his analysis and I gave him the reasons. I was telling him something about his wife and the point drifted to how businessmen have to act in a way to be accepted by society. He said he understood it and we discussed how people close to us can nag us and constantly give ideas to help us improve. He then came to the listening point again and told me that he too faces the same issue. He had 3 wellwishers who always told him the right way of doing things. Like when one of them told him that the business won't work and his wife would come on the road, he transferred one of his flats on his wife's name and made his wife secure with a fd deposit and made arrangements for his child in next 3 months. When his aunt told him about looking good and dressing well, he bought the best quality clothes and a really pricey car in few days.

I realized one thing, Human beings are the most complex complex beings possible. He did listen to people but only to stop them from talking. He has lost those well wishers now but is happy in his own world. I tried to point this out in a subtle way that he didn't listen to ideas because the idea made sense, but only to prove a point and hence it showed in his handwriting but I don't think he was ready for that yet.

The process is the cure.

I believe graphology is the only medium where the process of analysis becomes the cure in itself.

There is nothing much needed after the analysis session. I see individuals feel the impact with each statement. It is like every truth is setting them free. Each statement of analysis helps you heal yourself and uncover your true self like the layers of the onion...and just like the onion, you realize there is nothing much to you. We worry so unnecessarily. We worry and form an image and use that image to scare ourselves. There are times when people call me for 4 to 5 days at a stretch, ask all the possible questions in the world related to graphology and end up not coming to me at all. Maybe coming to an analysis includes letting go of fear.

Maybe those who come to me are already on the journey to heal themselves.

A graphologist feels helpless

A few people ask me how much will grapho-therapy help them. To which I always sigh and my reply is that I can honestly tell you what to do but it is upto you to do it or not.
The phrase - You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink really summarizes my feelings. I know the value and the use of the change in sign, I can tell you the correct way to sigh, show you the best way to live, I cannot make you live it though. I sometimes feel helpless when I see people struggle even when I have showed them a way out.
Grapho-therapy can work wonders if done correctly. My only request is not to give up on it and try it once for at least 6 months... and then you can come back to me and tell me that it worked :)

The ones who doesn't want analysis done is always the one who calls the rest.

I was analyzing handwriting samples of a group of people who work together. Analyzing with people who know each other is FUN. I mostly end up with fits of laughter as they share the stories to back up my analysis. They know each other well and it gets interesting as the atmosphere becomes energetic and charged.

What amazes me is there is always one person who will say that he doesn't believe in graphology or grapho-therapy. I don't say much to such people, I analyze their sample if they agree and then await for the change in behavior.. What I fail to understand is the effect my analysis does on them. This same individual ends up calling all his friends in the office, literally drag them and almost stand on my head and tells me to do analysis for them.

It is so funny and cute.

My Doctor's handwriting

I was chatting with my doc when he told me to analyze his signature. I had the time and said to myself - Why not?

When I saw that he suffered from backache, my initial bias told me not to tell him.

Later As i realized that there were a lot of other things that got clubbed together and the backache trait was prominent, I decided to tell him but I chose my words carefully. I said, “I know that you are a doctor and might have treated it by now, but your signature shows that you suffer from back ache”

He replied “Yes, doctors also die u know”

To which I smiled and justified “Ya, but I thought u must have treated it by now”

He explained that there was a small formation in his back and it would trigger due to stress only and he didn't say much and we went to the next topic

Anyway, I realized that how prejudiced I can be... not just like a graphologist but also as an human being. We assume that our docs are close to God. For some reason don’t we all assume that nothing bad can happen to them?

Why the couple DIDN'T fight

I recently met this married couple who wanted a compatibility test through graphology. When I saw the signature, the first thing that hit me was that both of them were short tempered and this trait was very very prominent, so as an opener to my analysis, I asked them "Both of you seem to be short tempered, So do you guys argue a lot? and is that the reason you want this compatibility test done?

Both of them looked at each other and said no to me.

I was baffled. I asked them if they followed the right steps to make the sample. Were they angry before they sat to write for the sample or calm and composed?

They both shook their head in unison and told me that they wrote it separately and assured me that they were calm and composed.

I rechecked - Yes, both of them were short tempered. They were married for 4 years and the honeymoon phase was definitely over. So were they really that much in love that they didn't lose it on the spouse? It seemed negative because the lady was slightly outspoken and didn't seem like the one who would repress anger and not respond.

The man told me to carry on and tell them more stuff. I moved on but the argument factor stayed with me. They were either lying to me or there was something that I was missing and that is when I saw the trait of always having the last word in the argument. I always thought that this trait meant that the person would tend to fight and argue more than normal and I just concluded in my small little head that it was not the best quality for an individual to have, but I realized that this was present in both of them and this was the quality that avoided arguments. Both of them being short tempered and impatient, didn't like to stretch arguments and just believed that what they said was right and was the last of the argument. This caused no friction. It is so fascinating, I believe I could keep working till eternity and would never cease to meet such interesting people.

I am happy

This is the post minutes later i realized that i was going to definitely pursue graphology as my profession.

I am happy

Things in life are good.

My internet connection is slow from a couple of days and there is just one more thing in life that is slightly bothering me…besides this, life is super great and I am lovin it

Most of u know your life’s calling. I have come close to an experience where I can say that this thing gives me good, pure joy and it feels ultra great. As most of you know that I have recently finished my graphology course and have become a certified graphologist. I am super happy about this. I have started helping out my friends in HR and recruitment and am in process of helping a friend find a compatible partner for marriage.

Recently I analyzed my school friend’s handwriting. The experience was amazing. Not just for him but also for me. When I saw a smile of relief on his face after he learnt something about him, I felt that this was it. This was so it. This is what I want to do. I analyzed his handwriting on Saturday, and today we met again. The changes in him are actually noticeable. His level of confidence in himself has gone up. He called up our common friend to tell how amazing it was for him. I couldn’t believe that he would do something like that. It showed how good he felt. It feels so good to see someone lose their weight and fly free. It is going to keep me happy throughout a month I think. : )

So, Life’s good!

Learn Learn Learn

I wrote this after i finished my graphology course. Since this is my blogsite for everything related to graphology, i think that this is my first post ever on that subject.

Learning is soooo very important. I am doing my graphology course as most of u know. You really have to be away from learning for some time to realise how important it is. In my graphology class, I recently learned about the brain being just like a computer. Programming is done by the same 1 and 0 as for everyone. This concept really made me accept myself and not judge others.

You can learn from anyone, without even having a formal or informal relationship with them. My kids teach me to play carom on our event day. The process, the teachers and the students is wonderful.

I have learnt to take life as it comes from a very special friend. He has changed my outlook towards my life and my life plans to a great extent. He is the most hard working guy i know and the most professional person i know. Sometime’s u don’t even know where life takes u and what it might teach. Be open to it. Accept it.

Learning never goes waste. Never!!!
